We are looking for a web developer, to help primarily on the front end part of our application (www.360cities.net), although back end programming will also be necessary at times.

You will be working with an existing application with a very small team. You will be expected to be adding new features, rewriting some parts of the code, doing bug fixing and maintenance.

The requirements include:

- Having a through understanding of the core principles of web development from past positions is key.
- Excellent knowledge of javascript; especially of the jQuery library.
- Strong HTML and CSS experience. You should be able to go efficiently from a mockup or concept to clean HTML/CSS.
- Knowledge of browser compatibility on both PC and Mac: Safari, Opera, Chrome, IE (6 – 8), and Firefox (2 and 3).
- An understanding of Ruby on Rails, AJAX and WC3 standards is a must.
You don't have to be a RoR veteran, but you must have some experience with it plus the drive to learn quickly.

- Experience working in a team environment; a friendly, outgoing manner.
- Great communication skills in English (the only working language we use is English).

You get onus points if:

+ You like photography.
+ You have experience developing Flash/AS3.
+ You can use (and enjoy using) Photoshop.
+ You have a passion about (and knowledge of) usability and/or conversion metrics and/or web analytics and/or web marketing ...

This position is on a long term contract, with a commitment for minimum number of hours monthly. We are based in Prague (Czech Republic). Relocation and a full time position may be an option in the future.
